is currently seeking a Workshop Leading Hand
for an exciting full-time opportunity with one of our valued clients in Bibra Lake, WA. This leadership role will oversee workshop operations and coordinate metro field service teams, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance outcomes.
This position is ideal for a motivated and skilled tradesperson ready to take ownership of workshop functions, drive team performance, and uphold strong safety and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of mechanics and field service staff to deliver safe and professional maintenance outcomes.
- Coordinate workshop operations and schedule weekly maintenance tasks.
- Drive team efficiency and uphold a safety-first culture across all activities.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding machine performance, parts, and workmanship.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective ordering of parts and consumables.
- Communicate and manage unplanned downtime with honesty and professionalism.
- Monitor and report on job progress, safety, and resource utilisation.
- Provide technical guidance and hands-on support where required.
- Heavy Diesel Trade Qualification – Australian/NZ recognised.
- Minimum 5 years post-trade experience, ideally in mining or civil equipment maintenance.
- Proven experience as a Leading Hand or Supervisor.
- Sound diagnostic skills across multiple OEMs (e.g. CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High Risk Work Licence and Manual Driver’s Licence.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, DAS, and provide a valid National Police Clearance.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
