Job Description

CELOTTI Workforce is currently seeking a ATSI Construction Manager to join their building team either out of Alice, Katherine or Darwin. 

About the role:
To manage and co-ordinate, contractors and materials during the on-site phase of modular homes and ensure works are completed safely, on time and within required building standards. Assisting with maintenance works when required.  To be capable of motivating contractors to achieve a desired outcome in the most cost effective manner while producing high quality work. Including building good working relations with clients and colleagues.
Role is based out of Alice Springs facility and working alongside Operations manager based in Alice Springs

Areas of responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage contractors and suppliers to ensure built times are achieved
  • Engage with community and ensure all opportunities of employment are offered with in community
  • Ensure a high level of quality control, building standards are met
  • Notify relevant areas of issues that arise and provide technical assistance if necessary
  • Client liaison
  • Manage call-up of material and labour to ensure high efficiency of build is achieved
  • As Built drawings marked up and completed prior to house being handed over
  • Maintain high levels of OSH performance through;
  • Communication and consultation regarding health and safety issues that affect persons or groups under your supervision
  •  Maintaining a sound knowledge of all health and safety practices, procedures and policies
  •  Monitoring of health and safety compliance and enforcement of policies for persons or groups under your supervision
  • Participate and run trade meetings
  • Authorise subcontractors invoices
  • Ensure all site costs are justified
  • Update Onsite in a timely manner
  • Actively participate in meetings
  • Liaise with supply department to ensure quality and time frames are met
  • Travel to remote communities and stay with community if required
Key Competencies:
TECHNICAL Attributes and qualifications
NT registered building Licence (Preferred) 
Current drivers Licence
Relevant trade background
Supervisor experience 5 years
Microsoft Project
Computer related reporting ability
Previous experience in working in remote communities
Able to lead and motivate contractors
Good knowledge of OSHEQ
