Position Description – Executive Officer Project Sea Dragon
Seafarms Group are developing Project Sea Dragon, a large-scale, integrated, land-based prawn aquaculture project in northern Australia which will produce sustainable high-quality, year-round reliable volumes for export markets for Black Tiger prawns (Penaeus monodon).
Project Sea Dragon will involve construction at sites in Exmouth WA, Bynoe Harbour near Darwin, Gunn Point near Darwin, Legune Station (NE of Kununurra), NT and Kununurra, WA initially over a two year period with the potential to extend to ten years or more.  Operations will be established prior to the completion of the first stage of construction.
A Darwin office is being established to be the principal office for Project Sea Dragon. This position of Executive Officer will provide support to assist the Managing Director and the Project Director to manage workflow, coordination and timeliness of work responses, co-ordination of meetings, calendars and logistics.
It’s an exciting role and this position will be part of a dynamic new team, working across government approvals (NT and WA), construction, employment, training, local and indigenous engagement, and the establishment of operations.

Role Purpose:
The main focus of the position is to assist the Managing Director and the Project Director manage workflow, coordination and timeliness of work responses, co-ordination of meetings, calendars and logistics.
The role will also involve close liaising with other support staff particularly the Project Assistant, EA to Seafarms Chief Operating Officer and consultants.
Main Duties/ Responsibilities:
  • Preparing draft correspondence, proposals and undertaking reviews of research activities across a range of policy contexts to support applications for regulatory approvals
  • Creating and assisting with the development of presentations, ASX announcements, reports and internal communications
  • Compiling briefing notes as necessary
  • Management of records using a Reference Management system
  • Responsibility for meeting preparation including setting agendas and minute taking
  • Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Prioritise and manage activities as required by the Managing Director and the Project Director
  • Develop strategies and actions based on media monitoring and analysis
  • Coordination of events and production of supporting communications collateral
  • Supporting the implementation of community initiatives and project agreements
  • Managing diary and travel commitments for the Project’s Managing Director, Project Director and other senior staff as required
  • Co-ordination and management of the Darwin office logistics
  • Maintenance of required expenditure records and correct timely submission and processing of claims
  • Credit card management for the Managing Director and Project Director
  • Contribute to business development
  • Other duties as directed
  • Travel will be required from time to time
