Position Description – Project Site Engineer Sea Dragon – (Graduate Applications Encouraged)
Seafarms Group are developing Project Sea Dragon, a large-scale, integrated, land-based prawn aquaculture project in northern Australia which will produce sustainable high-quality, year-round reliable volumes for export markets for Black Tiger prawns (Penaeus monodon).  Project Sea Dragon will involve construction at sites in Exmouth WA, Bynoe Harbour near Darwin, Gunn Point near Darwin, Legune Station (NE of Kununurra), and Kununurra.  The head office in Darwin is being established whilst the first stage of construction is being undertaken.

Position outline
The main purpose of the position is to provide engineering support across the full scope of the project.  Additionally, the position will provide engineering support on a day to day basis to the Area Managers

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting others to coordinate and successfully execute each project.
  • Assisting others to ensure the coordination and execution of individual project-related activities including delivery of the engineering, procurement, construction, commission & completions and handover activities.
  • Assisting others to monitor compliance with time, cost progress, quality and performance components of each job using company processes and procedures for the effective and timely delivery of each service project.
  • Assisting others to establish resources (equipment and labour) to comply with the contractual requirements of the projects.
  • Assisting others to financial management of the projects.
  • Assisting others to development of mechanical and hydraulic drawings, procedures, manuals, specifications and general engineering documents.
  • Assisting others to development, review, negotiation, technical and commercial administration of contracts and suppliers’ agreements; referencing delivery, risk, issues, standards, schedules and deliverables and commercial considerations.
  • Purchasing, expediting and inspecting purchased material to ensure quality control and conformance to specifications.

  • Identify and report problems in processes, systems or procedures
  • Initiate or recommend solutions to problems identified
  • Ensure prompt reporting of all incidents
