The role
 
We currently have a vacancy for a Remote Community Store Manager Couple at Yarralin Community Store based in the community of Yarralin, 390 km out of Katherine or 160 km from Timber Creek.

This Remote Community Store Manager Couple is accountable for ensuring food security, effective store operations, compliance, and managing in a culturally appropriate manner with staff and community customers.
 
There will always be plenty of variety in this role.
The Community Store Manager Couple will be responsible for:

  • Provision of key retail services to the community;
  • Stock management;
  • Delivery of food security in the community;
  • Implementing the business strategy and continually driving outcomes;
  • Staff management;
  • Customer service and community engagement;
  • Compliance to state/ territory laws and regulations;
Skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in retail, preferably groceries;
  • Leadership skills and the ability to develop, train, and mentor;
  • Demonstrated stock handling;
  • Demonstrated sound financial management;
  • Previous experience working with Indigenous communities;
Qualifications
  • Driver’s and Forklift License
  • Computer literate
  • Police Clearance
  • Australian Visa
